BBMP Elections 2015 – Special Coverage on Citizen Matters

While Bengaluru gears up for the upcoming BBMP polls, the team at Citizen Matters has been busy.

We believe that an independent coverage of the elections is essential to ensure that citizens get an unbiased outlook on those standing for the elections. So we are presenting that just – a non-partisan, independent account of all the Elections News in Bengaluru.

For each of the eight zones we have mapped ward details, past council details, number of voters, etc. Under each ward page, we will be adding details about the state of the ward — the demographics, infrastructure details, the tenders and development works executed, issues raised by citizens and more. We are also adding details of contesting candidates as we get info.

We have also asked citizens for Bengaluru to share their feedback about how the local government has performed in the past five years. Their inputs will be used to publish a performance analysis for the corporators. The survey is here.

In addition, we have invited those candidates contesting the elections to share their details in our Candidate Information Form, and answer a few crucial questions. This is information that will come in handy for voters and help them make an informed decision when the time comes to cast their vote. Click here to view the form.
