Announcing our annual Citizen Journalism programme for 2025

As cities grapple with complex and interlinked challenges, it’s clear that engaged citizens with diverse skills must play a role in shaping solutions.

At Oorvani Foundation, we work to empower individuals and communities to move from awareness to action. Our platform, Citizen Matters, brings together journalists and active citizens to build a rich, credible body of urban knowledge.

Citizen journalism plays a crucial role in this ecosystem. Citizen contributors bring hyperlocal insights, lived experiences and grounded observations — helping communities understand issues more deeply while developing their own identity as civic problem-solvers.

📢 We’re excited to announce ‘Everyday Stories Lab 2025: The Migration Edition’
