CitizenClinic is a space for citizens to ask questions, seek clarity, and push for accountability. Whether you’re deeply involved in civic action or just getting started, this is your platform to engage.
As temperatures continue to rise, the heat crisis is no longer confined to the streets outside. Increasingly, its effects are being felt within our homes.
Across cities, many homes are turning into heat traps and the challenge goes beyond individual homes.
In this edition of Citizen Clinic, we are bringing together architects, urban planners, and climate experts to discuss practical and long-term solutions for keeping homes and neighbourhoods cool. From improving ventilation and adopting climate-responsive building practices to increasing urban greenery and designing heat-resilient communities, we will explore what can be done at both household and city levels.
Most importantly, we want to hear from you.
What challenges are you facing in your home or neighbourhood during periods of extreme heat? Are certain rooms becoming unbearably hot? Do you have questions about cooling strategies, building design, tree cover, or community-level solutions? What changes would you like to see in your locality to make it more resilient to rising temperatures?
Share your questions, concerns, and experiences with us. We will take them directly to our panel of experts and bring back insights, answers, and recommendations that can help citizens navigate an increasingly warmer future.
