Join the Elevated Corridors Design Challenge

How should Bengaluru address its growing mobility needs while ensuring sustainability, accessibility and a better quality of life for everyone?

Join us at the Elevated Corridors Design Challenge to critically examine the proposed elevated corridors in the context of other planned infrastructure, including tunnel roads, Metro expansion and an expanded bus service. The aim is to explore different approaches to urban mobility and imagine solutions that work for Bengaluru and its diverse communities.

Event details

  • Date: Sunday, 1 November 2026
  • Time: 9 am – 5 pm
  • Venue: Samagata Space, Church Street, Bengaluru
  • Lunch: Provided for participants

What can you do at the Design Jam?

Participants can form teams of up to five members to evaluate an entire proposed corridor or a subsection of it. Teams will explore the merits and drawbacks of the proposals and develop alternative ideas that prioritise sustainable mobility, accessibility and the needs of different communities.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Connect with fellow citizens, students and urban practitioners.
  • Access relevant maps, reports and other resources.
  • Discuss ideas and approaches with mobility and environmental experts.
  • Develop proposals that consider the wider implications of infrastructure decisions on Bengaluru’s people, environment and public spaces.

Whether you already have ideas you would like to develop or want to start exploring the issue from scratch, the Design Jam offers a space to learn, collaborate and contribute.

No prior experience in design or urban planning is required. All you need is an interest in understanding Bengaluru’s mobility challenges and imagining a more sustainable, inclusive and liveable city.
